Dr Fiona Radford completed her PhD in Ancient History at Macquarie University, Australia (2012). Her research focuses on the ancient epics of the golden era of Hollywood, particularly the production history of Spartacus (1960). Fiona has published articles on Spartacus in popular culture in Stanley Kubrick: New Perspectives, the Wiley Blackwell Companion to Ancient Greece and Rome on Film and the journal Classicum. Her work on Spartacus has been brought to the screen through partnership with TED-Ed and reached an audience of over 3M. She is the co-host of The Partial Historians podcast with Dr Peta Greenfield which is a detailed exploration of Ancient Roman History. Fiona is currently a History Teacher at SCEGGS Darlinghurst.
Dr Peta Greenfield completed her PhD in Ancient History and Classics at the University of Sydney, Australia (2011). Her research focuses on the intersections of the social, the political, and the religious in the Late Republic and the Early Principate of Rome. Her work on the Vestal Virgins and the rule of Augustus has been brought to the screen through partnership with TED-Ed and reached an audience of over 8M. She is the co-host of The Partial Historians podcast with Dr Fiona Radford which is a detailed exploration of Ancient Roman History. Peta is currently a Research Officer at the University of Sydney.
